The Dulcie Boxer Briefs are the ultimate second skin underwear. We designed these with no side seam and an arched gusset to eliminate a seam between the thighs. These double as anti-chafe shorts but we like them as everyday undies! Top of the briefs is finished with soft elastic and sits high above your tummy - no cutting in!The construction is unfussy and fast so that you can fill your drawer with them (or start a new drawer!). The top features soft, soft boxer elastic for comfort and security and there is no elastic in the legs to prevent digging or sausaging.   This pattern is suitable for sewing on a home sewing machine and doesn't require a serger/overlocker. Our custom-made M&B elastic and Dulcie Kits can be purchased through Nellie Joans Difficulty 1/5 Sizes Sizes Available: Sizes A-M (see size chart in images) 41.5-71.5 (105-182cm) Hip Compare your Hip measurement to the Size chart above to select your base size. This pattern has negative ease, meaning the finished garment will be smaller than your body measurements. If your waist size is significantly smaller than your hip size, you can blend between sizes. We don’t recommend blending more than 1-2 sizes so you can pull your briefs on. As with any garment, we recommend making a toile/muslin out of inexpensive material before cutting into your fashion fabric. This is especially important for undies because everyone’s body and undies preferences are different! If our sizes are too small to include you, we will grade our patterns up for you. We often get asked what height our patterns are drafted forWe don’t note this on our patterns because the body’s proportions can make an overall height very misleading. For example, you might technically be the “same height” as the draft, but you might have proportionally longer legs. In that case, a pants pattern may be very short for you. We do not subscribe to the notion of “normal bodies” and that is why we provide finished garment measurements instead of drafting height.For all patterns (not just ours!), we always recommend comparing the finished measurements (and measurements taken from the pattern itself) to your body. Use the shorten/lengthen lines to adjust as necessary. Fabric & Notions Suggested Fabric: This pattern is designed to be sewn with knit fabrics, with at least 70% stretch both vertically and horizontally (4-way stretch). We suggest cotton/spandex jersey, bamboo/spandex jersey, merino/spandex jersey, tencel/modal/spandex jersey. Performance fabrics will work too, but the sizing might need to be altered (they can be more compressive and therefore you may need a larger size).   Fabric Yardage: See chart in images.
